As part of our actions we have adopted a village in Delhi, Mukunkpur for all round development for improving the lives of people there. The village has no running water. Wastewater runs down alleys and smell sits in vacant lots. The Government seems apathetic to the conditions there, so UDMRD has taken upon itself the job of cleaning the village by organising Self Help Groups and mobilizing locals, especially women for the same.

UDMRD helps the villagers in organising Balwadis [Preschool] for children who can not afford to go to school.

With our efforts a team from UNDP visited Mukundpur to take stock of situation and our efforts there and distributed sweets and clothes to downtrodden children.

A team form Rotary Club of Kapa'a, Hawaii, USA was here to take stock of ground realities and help the poor with whatever help they could offer.

UDMRD also organises peroidic Medical Camps in the village that take care of common medical ailments.
